Woot!! Wooooot!!!

The other day I made my first batch of deep conditioner--mind you I've been natural for over 3 years (-_-), yeah I know I'm late lol. Anyways, it worked miracles for my scalp and hair<<made me feel brand NEW *eye slannnnnt*

Here is what I used:
1 large egg
4 plastic spoon soops of mayo *i don't think the brand matters*
1 spoonful of honey

(DISCLAIMER: This product DOES and WILL drip/run...so make sure you have a towel near you!)

Before: My hair was super frizzy, my curls weren't defined and on top of that it was dry and lacked elasticity...a HOT MESS!

The Application Process:

After Results: My hair was shining a day after, thanks to the HONEY <3!! My curls were springy and tight...my hair had a new attitude, ooww oowww!!

I’ve been reading a lot lately about values and self-worth… I realized I let myself slack and make poor decisions which surely did manifest themselves! I came across this post (i’ll add an link) by amy chan where she discussed knowing your self-worth.  I want to be a better woman who makes smarter decisions when it comes relationships. I guess this is a journey to find Tish, again (lol)–love and nurture myself first before I allow a gentleman to “snatch” me up! Join me, will you?

1) The Temptations Silent Night
I love myself some MOTOWN Christmas music!!! When I hear this song it makes me all “warm & fuzzy” on the inside and I know the Christmas season has officially kicked off!

2) Christmas Night (original song) – Mishal Moore & Justin Figueroa
I have been a fan of Mishal Moore for a while now–I follow her on Youtube and when I had a twitter & tumblr, I followed her there as well!  She has such a unique voice and she is SOOO CREATIVE when it comes to making music. It’s rare to find musical inclined people that can actually put “art” into artist! Listen and Follow her–You won’t regret it!

3) Destiny’s Child - 8 Days Of Christmas (HD)
Don’t front, you know you like this song!! Every.Single.Time. I hear this song, I GOTSA GROOOOOOVVEEEE!!!!!

4)The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) ~ Etta James
A classic song by a Classy Lady…may her soul rest in peace! She made blues jazz–hip <3

Baby all I want for Christmas...

MY HOLIDAY WISHLIST!!!! *CUES CRAZED AUDIENCE*
I’m pressed for time so I’ll jump right into the “meat” of my wishlist!!!
1) Canon Rebel T31

This camera retails at around $500–I ain’t got that kinda money, but can’t a girl dream?! I absolutely love taking abstract/nature/random pictures; however, my cellphone camera (Samsung Galaxy 3) is just okay. I want to get into video blogging and documentaries of my life and since I’m a beginner photographer this DSLR would be the peanut butta’ to my jelly ;-)

2) Wide Leg Pants

I have a thing for wide-leg pants…always have and always will (VIVA LAS 70s!!!)I mean check the print out of them…you canCall me Foxy Brown, okkk!! They add just the right amount of “la flare” to an outfit where you look stylish, clean, & Funkaayyyyyeeee! lol–let’s move on

3) Clean & Sleek Strappy Heels
*deep sigh* These strappy heels right here ^^^^–they are something special. Normally I go for funky, platform, chunky heels BUT there is nothing like a pair of chic & clean-lined heels that can pull an outfit together. HOWEVER, they retail for about $800 (-__-)

4) Mo' Mo' Motif

Motif Sweaters!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I see that my personal style is changing into more casual & relaxed pieces with a nice little punch of FUNK! lol You can dress these sweaters UP or DOWN, which makes them a plus!

5) El futuro

Thiss little fellow is Fernando, I met him 2010 in Guanajuato, México. His parents work in the mines and during the day instead of going to school, he helps his family out by being a tour guide. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS LITTLE MAN–We took him out for lunch, we went shopping…ANYTHING he wanted we purchased it for him–a highlight of my life.
I put him on my wishlist because he represents a piece of my heart and my passion for giving. I know we all like to receive things for Christmas, but truly the greatest gift on earth is being able to BLESS someone else. So easily we can become consumed in our life problems and focus on the things we lack…there are men, women, and children who may never be able to have what we have.
I encourage everyone to give back more…TRUST ME, you will get more out of it!

My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their families in Newtown, CT.
We NEED prayer [back] in these school systems!
My brother posted this on FB…very profound and wonderfully stated:
When you ask God to leave a place or situation, He respectfully obliges. As our nation increasingly and intentionally takes God out of the school system we should unfortunately expect more of this madness. I think most would agree that over the last 10-15 years there has been an increase in demands of removing God from our schools. And I think numbers show that during those 10-15 years there has been an increase in tragic situations like what happened in Connecticut today. My question isn’t “Why, God, why?” but rather “When will we learn, when will we turn away from ourselves and back to You?”

Mini|Story: One day at my previous job I was asked to assist a couple of programmers  on developing a “quick hint-quick link” website. I had developed and maintained a website for another employer before so I jumped at the offer.  One of the programmers told me he was having a issue with the coding and asked me to look over it and see what was happening. However, the other programmer [in a rude & condescending voice] scuffs and says, “You know how to code?!”–I was stunned at his remark but replied [with a smile] and said, “Why yes, I do.” <<Short and sweet, I know I could have said more and been very sassy/salty with my remark but LET’S BE HONEST, he wasn’t worth the bickering>> Anyways, the <points> of the story is:
  • Don’t judge a book by its cover [YES! I am an black female, who loves fashion & makeup, but I know my way through a network, I can understand databases, expert systems and so on & so forth]
  • We NEED more [women] with STEM Majors
  • ::Gloating moment:: Out of all the other people the programmers could have called on–I was chosen.
  • Oh! and Yes, I saw the issue with the coding, I advised them on what they should do…then when back back to my desk [grinning ear to ear]
